About Fast Manta Diving

Fast Manta Diving is the first and only authorised PADI Freediver Center and PADI Eco Center in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. Founded in 2019 by Kari, a Finnish PADI Staff Instructor, the school offers PADI freediving courses — from a 1-day Basic Freediver introduction to the Advanced Freediver course including Emergency First Response training. Learn apnea in the warm Andaman Sea with open-water sessions around Ao Nang's local islands and the Phi Phi Islands, aboard the Ocean Manta aluminium catamaran speedboat. Courses include equipment, eLearning, certification, lunch, and hotel transfers.

PADI-structured freediving instruction delivered by a large multilingual team with an eco-conscious ethos — no-smoking policy on all trips, low-impact operations.

We did a total of three diving days with Fast Manta at the end of April 2026, and it was a great experience!! One day we went on a PhiPhi trip with our 7 year old son so that one of us dived while the other snorkeled with the son and the Finnish (🤗) instructor. The whole experience with Fast Manta was great. Booking was easy, communication was really friendly and convenient, the boats to PhiPhi were fast (about 1 hour one way), the boats were modern and the staff were super friendly. There were snacks, water, fruit and a tasty lunch. Everything is included in the price, so there are no hidden costs (the national park fee is the only one separately). You can see the professionalism in everything 🫶🏻 The diving groups were small and the divers' levels were really well thought out so that they fit together well. I really recommend it!

Fastmanta are fantastic! I did my open water course with them and another dive day after. Both me and my partner had the best time. They are very professional, well informed and fun! We saw so much marine life and even managed to see turtles which was a dream come true. I really wanted to see turtles and Karoliina was determined to help me see them. We also saw black tip reef sharks, puffer fish, sea snakes and so much more, it was amazing. A massive thank you to Karoliina who I dove with for all 7 dives. She is so lovely and is very knowledgeable. She is the diving queen! I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor or diving experience. Thank you! FIVE STARS 🌟

I went for 3 amazing dives with them at the Phi Phi islands. We had real luck and saw some sharks, cuttlefish, barracudas, some sea horses, and even a turtle. The dive guides were fantastic, clear and very professional. Si led our dives. And the whole crew was friendly and really nice. If you want to dive in Ao Nang, I’d recommend Fast Manta.
