Freedive Azores is a dedicated freediving school based in São Miguel, Azores, founded in 2012 by AIDA instructor Francisco Couto — a lifelong diver who began underwater activities through spearfishing in 1989 and became AIDA certified in 2012. The school offers AIDA certification courses from beginner to advanced, depth training, pool coaching, and unique experiences including dives on the Dori — a WWII Liberty Ship wreck near Ponta Delgada. Paulo Nóbrega also serves as an AIDA instructor alongside Couto.
