A fantastic experience! I did my introductory scuba diving with Pauline, and she was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything went well and that I felt safe. I was a little apprehensive about going into such deep water, but I quickly felt relaxed and comfortable with her, and all her explanations were very clear. They even offer a pick-up service from Santa Cruz if needed, and during the dive, they take photos and videos with a high-quality GoPro, which make for a fun souvenir. The underwater life in Radazul is abundant, and the fish come right up to you, so it's very entertaining. Time flew by! They also have showers available after the dive and offer water or coffee if you'd like. The reception staff are equally friendly and helpful during the booking process, answering all your questions and assisting you with anything you need. Highly recommended and an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to do it again!

Overview
About Scubanana Dive Center
Located in the harbour of Radazul, Tenerife, Scubanana Dive Center offers structured PADI freediving courses in one of the Canary Islands' most accessible training bays. The school teaches freediving as a discipline of relaxation and self-discovery — unique among sports in its focus on calmness and mental control rather than adrenaline. Courses run in small groups delivered in English, Spanish, or German, with a flexible schedule that adapts to each student. No prior diving experience is needed: apnea is an independent discipline and all techniques are taught from scratch. The PADI Freediver course (€399, 2 days) covers online theory, a pool session, open-water dives to 40 metres, full equipment, insurance, and PADI certification fees. Certified freedivers can return for dedicated training sessions in the same bay.
The school frames freediving through three principles — calmness, freedom, and knowledge. Teaching follows the PADI Freediver curriculum with a strong emphasis on breath control, energy-saving technique, and relaxation rather than performance metrics. Small groups allow instructors to adapt to each student's pace, and courses run in English, Spanish, or German. Scheduling is flexible and shaped around the student's availability. Certified PADI instructors with extensive experience lead all freediving sessions.
Whether you are looking to discover apnea for the first time or earn a recognised freediving certification in Tenerife, Scubanana Dive Center provides a structured path. The school is well-suited to first-time freedivers and those learning breath-hold technique for the first time. Instruction is available in English, German, and Spanish.

Excellent dive center. My 15 and 13-year-old sons had their first scuba diving experience and everything went perfectly. The instructor's excellent explanations and patience were key. The dive site in Radazul was also fantastic. I'll definitely be back.
I took the Open Water course and I was delighted. Great location, good equipment, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Thanks to Denise, Ryan, and especially to Sergio, who was very patient.
