The Freedive Place is an SSI freediving school on El Fanar Street in Dahab, Egypt, led by founder Waleed Ghatas — SSI Freediving Instructor Trainer, AIDA Level E, and CMAS International Judge. The school teaches breath-hold diving and apnea at Dahab's Lighthouse Bay and Blue Hole, with the full SSI certification ladder: SSI Freediver (3 days, €310), SSI Advanced Freediver (3 days, €350), SSI Performance Freediver (4 days, €475), and SSI Freediving Instructor (12–14 days, €1,445), plus an Instructor Crossover for certified instructors from other agencies. Multi-week packages include a Beginner Week (8 days, €400), Training Weeks (6 days, €270–€330), a Combo Week (6 days, €450), and the Zero to Hero program (€2,500, 3–6 months) covering the full path from first breath-hold to SSI Instructor. Waleed also created an online dry training program — Intermediate Freediving Preparation — covering equalization, CO₂ tolerance, and breath-hold technique without in-water sessions. I definitely had an incredible experience! 🙌🏼 The dive sites were beautiful, and being able to train and dive in the Blue Hole was a dream come true.
